Join us at the July Chapter Event for an informative afternoon of highlights from the ICF-Midwest Regional Conference that was hosted in Indianapolis this June. Even if you attended the conference, you couldn’t possibly experience every breakout session. So we’ve got a solution.

Back by popular demand, this program will bring you comprehensive reviews of several different sessions from the conference, including all the great learning, insights and handouts.

Chapter EventOur panel of chapter members who attended the conference will capture the essence of each breakout session and share with you the take-aways and highlights.

Each member will present a 15-minute summary (just the highlights) of one session from the conference. We know you’ll enjoy their choices and learn some new tools because they each chose a session that had high value.

Plus, we’ll have some free goodies to share with all chapter event attendees AND prizes to raffle off!!

You don’t want to miss this opportunity to earn CCEUs, connect with your colleagues, learn new coaching tools, and win prizes!

Sessions to be reviewed during this chapter event are:

The Crossroads of Niching: How to Find More Clients By Picking the Right Focus

Are you tired of being one of the great majority of coaches who miss their sales targets each year? Do you want to grow faster than waiting for more referrals? Is it possible that you’ve been concentrating on the wrong client type or been focused on the wrong niche? In this case-packed, interactive talk, you’ll learn: Why not knowing your ideal niche can paralyze you from doing any marketing, why falling into or letting ‘gurus’ tell you what your niche should be might kill your business, and the 3 surprisingly simple criteria to pick the most profitable specialty and target market for you. Coaching Leaders to Influence by Choice NOT by Chance

Everyone is a leader – or at least has the potential to be. Future leaders are asking, “If I’m not influential, how can I make a difference?” The demand for leadership coaching by individuals and organizations is greater than ever before. Coaches need to understand influence and how it applies to their clients’ needs. This session provides coaches the opportunity to create influential leaders by introducing them to the Keller Influence Indicator® (KII™), an assessment tool that measures a person’s Seven Influence Traits™. Today’s leaders are eager to unlock the door to becoming as influential as they can be. (Presented by Mary DuVall)

Conversational Alchemy: Conversational Intelligence at Work!

The key to success in life and business is to become a master at Conversational Intelligence. It’s not about how smart you are, but how open you are to learn new and effective powerful conversational rituals that prime the brain for trust, partnership, and mutual success. Conversational Intelligence® translates the wealth of new insights coming out of neuroscience from across the globe, and brings the science down to earth so coaches and their clients can understand and apply it in their everyday lives. The focus will be how to move from Level I Transactional Conversations – to Level II – Positional – and most importantly into Level III Transformational Conversations. (Presented by DeShawn Wert)

The Science and Art of Presence: How to Create More Breakthrough Moments in Coaching

Being fully present with your clients means more than being conscious and mindful. There is more to presence than opening the mind. You also have to open your heart and gut. From here, you can receive signals through the vagus nerve to access the insights that can create breakthrough moments. Additionally, when you coach with your entire nervous system, the client feels safe enough to be vulnerable when you compassionately challenge them to think more broadly about themselves and the world around them. The Coach as Speaker- How to Create a Masterful Coaching & Speaking Presence

Learn how to expand your footprint and enlarge your impact on the world through speaking… and create a masterful coaching and speaking presence in the process! Speaking to groups is the number-one way to build a coaching practice, but only if who you’re being in front of the room is as present, authentic and sincere as it is when you’re interacting with clients. But what’s the key to making that happen? Never stop being a coach! Apply the same core competencies to speaking as you do to your coaching. Talking with a client in a coaching setting is very much like speaking to a group of people you don’t know… if you approach it the right way. (Presented by Lesley MacKellar)
