Letter from the President | ICF Indy Chapter News | July 2016

Margie BieswangerWow! The conference was a huge success.

Everyone had a fabulous time and learned so much from the breakout speakers, keynote sessions with Marshall Goldsmith, Judith Glaser, and more.

It was an amazing weekend that was well worth the effort. Again, I want to thank all of our chapter members who are responsible for making this event a success.

Conference group

In fact, the conference was so rich with valuable information that you couldn’t possibly take in all of it.

But we have a solution for that!

Whether or not you were able to attend the conference in person, please mark your calendar for Tuesday, July 19th, and plan to join us for the next chapter meeting and CCEU program.

We’ll be offering our ever-popular ICF Midwest Regional Conference Recap. Several of our chapter members will be providing short summaries of a selection of the breakout and keynote sessions. You don’t want to miss this opportunity to earn CCEUs, connect with your colleagues, learn new coaching tools, and win prizes! Yes, we have some prizes to raffle off during the meeting. And we’ll have some free gifts for everyone who attends, as well. Learn more and register here.

Chapter VolunteerI’d like to ask you something.

Will you begin thinking about joining our leadership team by volunteering some of your expertise and time to our chapter?

Chapter Elections will be held in November and we’ll have a few positions on the Board available (including my role – President!!)

You’ll be hearing from me about the election process and the positions available, so don’t worry, you’ll be kept in the loop. But in the meantime, ask yourself how you might begin contributing to this dynamic chapter. We all benefit when you contribute!

Well, there’s much more to tell you about, so keep reading. Stay connected. Be an active part of this community. And definitely plan to attend chapter events this year.

I can’t wait to see you again or meet you for the first time!

Margie

Letter from the President | ICF Indy Chapter News | May 2016

Margie BieswangerWow, it’s already May. How did that happen?!

Spring is officially here and with it a sense of renewal and energy.

Spring energy brings new adventures and possibilities. You might find that a million ideas are bubbling to the surface, jostling for your attention.

That can feel great … or chaotic.

IdeaWe can find ourselves re-energized and focused … or scattered and overwhelmed by all the spring energy.

If that happens, it’s okay. Spring is supposed to be full of energy and awakening! AND you might need to tame that energy before you can move forward in a focused way.

So breathe. Ahhh, breathe.

Welcome spring and the exuberant energy it brings. Then make it your own.

Focus in on your highest priorities. What will deepen your coaching skills? What will help you build your successful business? Create your action list and dive in.

ICF Indianapolis ProgramIn fact, why not join us at the May Chapter Meeting and Program? It’s our business development day. Lunch is included, followed by three outstanding presenters, and then a panel of local coaches answering your questions about how they built their businesses.

You don’t want to miss this afternoon of community and business development. Learn more HERE and get registered – your coaching practice will thank you.

Well, there’s much more to tell you about, so keep reading. Stay connected. Be an active part of this community. And definitely plan to attend chapter events this year.

I can’t wait to see you again or meet you for the first time!

Community Corner | ICF Indy Chapter News | April 2016

We have one of the most energetic chapters with high attendance at our meetings and events. It is our vision to continue to add to this energy by hosting engaging activities that foster community.

Our newest activity will be a wine and painting event to be held on Sunday, April 24. We are straying away from only meeting at the local watering holes for our community activities.

In June we will have a social event that will take place at the ArtsGarden in conjunction with the ICF Midwest Regional Conference opening reception. Whether or not you are attending the conference, you may attend the opening reception. It will be a great time to see friends and make some new ones.

Looking forward to the second half of the year we will plan a family picnic or party in August. We also would like to have a holiday party in December.

icf indy coffee chat VIRTUALTo complement Margie’s Coffee Chats, we are investigating a way to host a virtual coffee chat where you could be sitting in the comfort of your home, coffee in hand, and join us via Internet for some chat time. Look for this to happen in May.

The Membership Committee is always open to your suggestions for activities. If you would like to host an event let’s make it happen. I remember an event a few years ago when a member hosted us on her pontoon boat. That was great fun!

If you would like to volunteer to be on this exciting committee please let us know.

Your Membership Committee,
Mark Sprout and Danielle Dittberner
